The Databox is an easy-to-install hardware kit that collects all the data needed for energy monitoring, without interrupting operation. It is useful for installations that are not equipped or are under-equipped with sensors. It can be custom-configured to take advantage of existing equipment, whether sensors, meters or PLCs.
The Databox is a hardware instrumentation kit that is shipped tailored to the specific needs of each installation.
A main control panel is used to connect the various equipment or measurement points available on the premises and to link them to the Datapool servers via a wired or wireless connection.
The system includes a set of sensors to monitor the most relevant quantities. Existing energy and water meters are connected to the Databox by adding communication terminals. The existing installation is expanded with non-intrusive meters (temperature, humidity, flow rate, water quality, etc.) connected to the databox by wireless links.
Databox can be connected to existing PLCs (BMS or independent PLCs) thanks to its interoperability with open protocols (Bacnet, modbus, mbus, etc).
